From an Amateur Radio perspective, the continent of Oceania consists of the countries occupying the expanse of the Pacific Ocean. There are a lot of DXCC countries here but they are spread over a large area of the globe. The European ROS Club issues the Worked Different Amateur Radio – Oceania Award for working at least 25 different Hams in the Pacific Ocean.

Once you’ve received your 25 station certificate you can continue the within the program in two different ways. First, additional certificates are available for working additional unique stations. The current maximum count is 4,500 stations. Secondly, you can accumulate unique stations on any single band from 160M through 6M. This includes the 60M band.

Worked Different Amateur Radio - Oceania 50 station award for 20M.

The certificates feature large, colorful, photos showing some scene from the Pacific Islands, Australia or New Zealand.

To apply for the Worked Different Amateur Radio – Oceania Award, and all other ERC awards, you must install the UltimateAAC application on a Windows machine. That application scans your WSJT-X ADIF log file and will inform you when you’ve qualified for the award at various levels. ERC issues the award in digital form only (JPG or PDF) with no printing or shipping costs. In fact, the award is completely free, like all of their other awards.
